PHYLLIS A. GALLANT, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, after complications following a stroke. She was born June 30, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Grace Bonewitz in Warsaw, Ind. and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1946. She later moved to Fort Wayne and was active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority while holding bookkeeping/secretarial positions. In May 1960 she married Thomas A. Gallant. They were married 22 years and had one daughter. Phyllis' many interests included watching IU basketball, trying new recipes, playing bridge, crocheting and reading. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Gallant of Indianapolis; nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Service is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with calling and visitation one hour preceding. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements made by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton. Preferred memorials to Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Lutheran Life Villages.
