Phyllis M. Leiendecker

Phyllis M. Leiendecker, 91, of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. She was born on September 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Paul E. and Jessie C. (Rousseau) Alleger. She worked as a bookkeeper for Old Fort Specialty Corp. before retiring. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed spending her time gardening. Her family was most important to her. Surviving family include her children, John Paul (Linda) Leiendecker, II, Cherie (Ted) Walda, Mark (Deb) Leiendecker; grandchildren, John Paul (Lindsay) Leiendecker III, Jessica (Tyler) Jacobsen, Sarah (Ryan) Buckingham, Ashley (John) Leininger, Grant (Kylee) Leiendecker, Kyle (Morgan) Leiendecker; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, Doris Bresser. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, John Paul “Jack” Leiendecker; and siblings, Paul Alleger, and Annabelle Blake. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 6750 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 1-3 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse.
