Born on January 14, 1930, Ralph was the beloved son of John and Emma (Pfieffer) Knuth. On December 16, 1967, he married Stella M. Knuth and they shared 47 years together loving each other, their dogs, their children, and grandchildren.
Ralph proudly served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He worked at Broadview Lumber in Fort Wayne for 43 years along with several of his brothers. He has been a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church for 65 years.
Loving the outdoors, Ralph was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved his yard and took great pride in the care of his lawn and flowers, often winning the "Yard of the Quarter" in his addition. Being a talented woodworker, he built furniture and helped with many household projects. Ralph cared deeply for his friends and neighbors and had fun belonging to a euchre club, where he could be heard saying, "you only have five cards."
Ralph was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Stella Knuth; his daughter Jessica Humphreys, and brothers', Norman, Russell, Charles, Walter, his twin Richard, and sister, Dorothy (Knuth) Meinzen.
He is survived by his son, David (Marylin) Knuth; grandchildren, Katelyn (Dan) Ferrier, Kelsey Knuth; his great grandchildren, Deacon and Elliott Ferrier. Ralph is also survived by his stepsons, Michael Stabler of Dallas, TX and Steven Stabler; his step-granddaughter, Tracie (Dave) Osterman; step-great granddaughter, Megan (Casey) Tulley; his step- great-great granddaughter, Quinlan Marie.
A celebration of Ralph's life will be on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 11AM at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation taking place two hours prior.
