Ralph G. Reese, 96, of Fort Wayne passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was born July 24, 1916 in Muncie, the son of Herman and Nellie (Dean) Reese. He retired in 1997 from Dana as a Tool Grinder. He enjoyed playing golf and rooting for his favorite teams, the Cubs, Bears, and Indiana University. Survivors include his beloved wife of 76 years, Dorothea Reese of Fort Wayne; daughters, Amaryllis “Amy” (Jerry) Snyder and Pamela (Gary) Sauter, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Steven (Cindy) Snyder, Stephanie (Brian) Ruhl, Christopher Snyder, Tammy (Dennis) Castleberry, and Denise Barnes; five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were brother, John Reese and sister, Esther Cassaday. A funeral service will be on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 3:00 P.M., at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to Brightstar.
