DR. RAMESH H. BHAT, MD, a long time resident of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. He was born in Mumbai, India, on Sept. 26, 1949 a son of Dr. Harihar and Shanta Bhat. Dr. Bhat came to the United States in 1974, and to Fort Wayne in 1978. During his 35 years in Fort Wayne, he was an active OB/Gyn who sought to not only dispense quality medical care to all patients, but to mentor and help other physicians to do the same. He is survived in death by his wife, Sunitha Bhat of Fort Wayne; his daughter, Dr. Aishwarya Deenadayalu (Dr. Viju) of Portland, Ore.; his granddaughters, Tejal and Uma Deenadayalu; his son, Kedar Bhat of Chicago, Ill.; his brothers, Dr. Madhav Bhat (Dr. Smita) and Dr. Ashok Bhat (Dr. Suman); and his sister, Charusheela Kamat (Dr. Shrinath). Religious ceremony and memorial is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne.
