Randall M. Clarkson

Randall Morris Clarkson, age 72, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 23, 1949 in Elkhart, Indiana to Thomas Raymond and Alice Lou Helen (Barnes) Clarkson, both of whom preceded him in death. Also, preceding him in death are his brother, LeVon Chester Clarkson and his daughters, Valencia Fields and Rhonda Clarkson. Randall attended Pierre Moran Middle School and Elkhart High School graduating in 1968. After high school, he became a soldier in the U.S. Army until his discharge in 1970 due to injury. After serving his country, Randall held various hospitality and factory positions. However, he had a passion for traveling and became a truck driver. Prior to retiring in Fort Wayne, Randall spent 15 years doing what he loved, which was seeing the world and meeting people. Those that knew him enjoyed his contagious smile and his unforgettable laugh that will forever be missed. His legacy will be survived by his wife of 15 years, Shirley Clarkson; his children, Melinda Clarkson, Randall Clarkson Jr., Tia (Henry) Stallings, Angel (Alfred) Morris, Regina Clarkson, William Clarkson, Dewey Clarkson and his step-children, Taniesha Nickels and Joseph Horton. He is survived by eight siblings; Thomas (Benesby) Clarkson lll, Clarence (Beverly) Clarkson, Rosemary Henderson, Ronald Clarkson, Cecil Clarkson, Rachel Clarkson, Alberta (Edward) Lewis and Quintella Clarkson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Horton; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Jerry Williams, JoJo Rashawn, Jean Jackson and Joseph Horton. A funeral service for Randall will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
