Randell "Randy" M. Herstad, 50, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. Born on August, 24, 1966 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Judith (Daugherty) Herstad and the late James Herstad Sr. Randy was a graduate of Wayne High School and a carpet layer for many years. A wonderful caregiver to others, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He is also survived by his sisters, Roxanne Jacobs, Peggy (Ed) Bransfield, Cindi (Tom) Baughman, and Chris (Jeff) Tipton; brothers, Dan (Joyce) Herstad, Mike (Tammy) Herstad, and Jamie Herstad Jr; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bill Jacobs III; and his girlfriend, Chris (Beck) Jackson. Funeral Service will be 11am on Monday, January 23, 2017 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 3-7pm on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
