Richard F. Busch Sr.

Richard F. Busch, 86, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday June 14, at Englewood Nursing Home, Fort Wayne. Born on May 14, 1927, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Earl and Georgia Busch. A member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Waynedale, he served his country in the US Navy during WWII, and retired from Tokheim, after more than 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Lucille (nee. Hoeppner) Busch; children, Sandra (Randy) Simmons, Rich (Mary) Busch Jr., Ron (Lois) Busch, Sherran (Jay) DeArmond, Sonya (Tim) Smith; sister, Ruby Klausing; as well as 23 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Smith. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 18, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior to service. Calling will also be held from 6 to 8 PM Monday June 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church Building Fund.
