Richard Allen Mahorney

He was born in Milan, Indiana to the late Quince Boyd and Hazel (Grace) Mahorney on October 26, 1942.

Mr. Mahorney was a graduate of Goshen High School in Goshen, Ohio.

On December 12, 1964, Richard married Darlene Martin in Goshen, Ohio. At which time, they moved to Vevay, IN where they raised their two girls eventually moving to Fort Wayne, IN to help raise their beloved grandchildren.

Richard retired from Holt Refakis Equipment Company where he was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Mahorney; daughters, Corinne (Jon) Yeh and Emily (Mahorney) Roach; grandchildren, Jadon, Qwenton, Mya, Griffin, Liana, and Caleb; brother Michael Mahorney; sister, Connie Vaughn. In addition, he is survived by one neice on his side, Jeanne (Peatry) Haggard, and many nieces and nephews on his wife’s side.

Also preceding Richard in death was a son, Matthew Mahorney and a granddaughter, Scarlet Yeh.

Private family services will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2021 with burial at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
