Richard Allen McCleary

Richard Allen McCleary, 59 passed Friday November 1, 2019 at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne, IN. He was born and raised in Columbia City Indiana. He was a truck driver for Precision Steel Services for over 20 years. Richard was a race enthusiast and enjoyed going to drag races and spending his weekends at Baer Field Raceway. He was an avid Chevy man, especially when it came to his Camaros. Richards current passion was rebuilding his Harley Davidson. He is survived by he children Corbin McCleary of Hoagland, IN; Tara Folds of Bellevue, OH: brothers William McCleary of Warsaw, IN; Marlin (Ronda) McCleary of Columbia City IN; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Bessy Callison, father Marlin R. McCleary, step father Duke Callison and a brother David Farrell. Service will be 3:00pm Sunday November 3, 2019 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home 1327 N Wells Street Fort Wayne IN with calling two hours prior. Preferred memorials may be made to the family in care of Corbin McCleary.

He was a man of few words, but straight to the point no messing around. He was the kind of neighbor everybody wants. Saddens me. We are thankful for the short short time we had the privilege of to get to know him. You will be missed you ornery little booger. I send BIG HUGS to you in heaven. Yes, I am still praying as you asked me to on the one good day you had with a moment of clarity. R.I.P. Your friends Richard and Beverley... we will not forget you. :(

We were surprised and saddened to learn of Richard's passing, we have known him for a very long time dating back to grade school. Good memories of seeing him at car shows, etc. He will be missed. With our deepest sympathy for the whole family,

He always gave us crap about our Fords when we went to a car show he pointed for us to park over there away from the Chevys lol. Our dogs name is Ford he of course would call him Chevy. Please tell his family Prayers for them. He came and saw us at Ducktail was glad we got to see him.
