Richard Craig Waikel

RICHARD "RICH" C. WAIKEL, 67, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at his home. He graduated from South Side High School in 1966, obtained an Associate Degree in Computer Science from IU- DGTS in 1976, and finished his Bachlors of Science in Business Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University in 1987. He worked as a computer programmer for 40 years, spending the last 12 years at Shambaugh & Son. He was an associate of Forest Park United Methodist Church. He was loved by an extensive network of friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Marie Murdock: and mother, Charlotte E. Waikel.

He was preceded in death by his son, Craig Geoffrey Murdock Waikel; and father, Ralph F. Waikel.

Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Wayne Street Chape, 420 W. Wayne St., with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016, at the funeral home.
