Richard Eugene Yates

Richard was born Oct. 16th 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Harry and Erna (Winn) Yates.

He proudly served in the US Army and was a member of The American Legion and apart of the Masonic Lodge.

He married the love of his life Connie Alexander, on January 11,1970 in Buckner, Missouri.

Richard worked for Dodge Alliance, St. Joseph County Jail, and Noble County Jail, where he retired. Richard loved to go fishing and play golf. Most of all, Richard was a family man who will be deeply missed.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Connie (Alexander) Yates ; his two children, Tina Miller (married to Clifford Miller), Gary Yates; his 9 grand children ;10 great- grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Erna, sister Setta Kay (Yates) Baney.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 18, 2022 at 3011 N 982 W Shipshewana,Indiana 46565 at 12:30 pm. There will be a Masonic Memorial service followed by an open house from 1-3 pm. Flowers and cards can be sent to the above address.
