Rick Twitchell

Patrick Allen Twitchell, 76, of Elkhart, IN, died of heart failure Saturday, July 1, 2023. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, he was the son of Robert & Joyce Twitchell. He married his beautiful bride, Pamela, May 1, 1967. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard, was a Freemason, and worked as an Engineer in telecommunications for over 40 years until retirement. He was passionate about NHRA drag racing and fast cars. He was very supportive and proud to watch his grandchildren play a variety of sports. He is survived by his sons, Terry Twitchell of Fort Wayne, IN and JJ (Suzi) Twitchell of Elkhart, IN; sisters, Roberta Simmons (Bob) and Beth Braun (Rick), both of Fort Wayne, IN; and his grandchildren, Sagan, Alexzandra, Theoren, Brody, and Trinity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela; son, Robert Keith; father, Robert; and mother, Joyce. He gave all of us so much love and support; his final act of giving was as an organ and tissue donor. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Prior to the service the family will receive friends from 10:30am-1:30pm. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery. In his memory, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge of Fort Wayne.
