Robert Carl Anderson

Robert graduated from North Side High School and attended Purdue University and numerous banking schools. He spent 43 years in banking with Lincoln National Bank, First State Bank of Decatur, Norwest and Wells Fargo Banks. He retired in 1999 from Wells Fargo as Executive Vice-President of the Indiana and Ohio Region. He served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement, Indiana Masonic Home Foundation, Leadership Fort Wayne and was past President of Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Decatur Rotary Club, Decatur Chamber of Commerce, 431 Foundation, and ROAH. He was a 25-year member of Orchard Ridge Country Club and a former member of Grassland Country Club, Lakeland, Fla. His masonic history consisted of Past Master of Decatur Lodge, Scottish Rite, York Rite Bodies, Mizpah Shrine, and Redcross of Constantine. He was a 33rd degree Mason and was a member of the Masonic Society of Rosicrucian. He is a present member of Leo Lodge 224. He was a 62-year member of Trinity English Lutheran Church where he served on the Finance and Council Committees. He enjoyed golf, travel, and reading. He is survived by son, David (Nanette) of Fort Wayne; and daughters, Debbie (Mark) Robart of Piqua, Ohio, and Becky (Doug) Vinzant of High Point, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Monna J., in 2006; and son, Mark, in 1982.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne. A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, at D.O. McCombs & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
