Robert "Bob" F. Gerardot Sr., 89, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Bob was born February 7, 1933 in Allen County, Indiana to the late Julian and Catherine (Speith) Gerardot. He served as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob retired from Shar systems after several years of service. He had been a member of St. Therese Catholic Church for over 64 years and he was also a member of American Legion post #241. Bob enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling, and playing cards, especially euchre and pinochle. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty (Girardot) Gerardot; children, Brenda, Linda, Robert Jr., and Mark Gerardot; and grandchildren, Tiffany and Heather Sorg and Colton Gerardot. Bob was also preceded in passing by his daughter, Beth Sorg; three brothers; and three sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4-8pm on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809. Burial to follow the mass at Covington Memorial Gardens. Contributions in "Bob's" memory may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church.
