Robert "Bob" E. Carpenter

Robert “Bob” E. Carpenter, 88, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Born on October 18, 1930 in Fort Wayne, he was the only son of the late Levi and Mildred (DeBolt) Carpenter. He worked at Zollner as a machinist for over 28 years, retiring in 1993. Surviving are his wife, Gloria (Burton) Carpenter; daughters, Linda L. Elliott and Leigh Ann Tilley; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his children, Danny Carpenter and Cindy Hoersten. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm on Friday, April 26, 2019 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Calling will also be from 6-8pm on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Burial at Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
