

Robert “Bob” D. Harris, 79, of Fort Wayne, went home peacefully to be with his Savior, Saturday, December 19, 2020. Born on September 7, 1941 in Bluffton, he was a son of the late Arthur E. Harris and Vera (Bieberstein) Hinderer.
Bob surrendered his life to Christ at age 62 and became a Jesus follower, actively serving as a volunteer Director of the Senior’s Bus Ministry at Fort Wayne First Assembly of God. Through their family Non-profit, Broken Radiance, Inc., Bob and his wife, Donna, enjoyed working with veterans as Sponsors of a Community Residential Home for veterans who cannot live alone. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and friend to many. Before he retired, he traveled internationally as Product Reliability Manager doing trouble shooting and problem solving with the DANA Corporation. In addition to furniture restoration, Bob enjoyed restoring automobiles, receiving national recognition.
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna Harris; four sons, David, Jeff, Bobby, and Jim; daughters Tammy and Cindy; two sons and two daughters by marriage, Jonathan, Scott, Tonya, and Donita; 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and siblings, Cynthia Roe, Cheryl Austin, and Doug Harris. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Clara D. Harris.
A private service will be held at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home with burial to follow at Concordia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fort Wayne First Assembly and/or Broken Radiance, Inc. For online condolences and memories, please visit www.mccombandsons.com
