Robert E. Shick

Robert “Bob” E. Shick, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Born December 6, 1952 in Charleston, Ill., he was a son of the late Robert Lee Shick and Cheri Delores (Hayes) Hampton who survives and resides in Phoenix, AZ. A graduate of South Side High School, he was a certified mechanic with Exhaust World and later was employed with Penske, from which he retired. He enjoyed racecars, mechanics and restoration of all cars, motorcycles, and especially enjoyed riding his 1998 Harley Dyna Glide. He is survived by his sons, Brandon (Katie Lapham) Shick, Michael Shick, Robert Rogers, and Joe Rogers, all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Sara Shick, Brandon “Little B” Shick, Heley Brown, Dezmen Culver, and Kingston Shick; and siblings, Michael Hampton of Fort Wayne, Twila (Greg) Hewlett of Tolleson, AZ, and Shelly (Stuart) Waddell of El Cajon, Calif. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Clinton Hampton; and brother, Randy Hampton Funeral Service is 4:00 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Advantage Highland Park, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
