Robert L. Tyler

Robert L. Tyler, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Born on February 24, 1944, in Brookline, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Wesley and Irene (nee Long) Tyler. Robert was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. He retired in 2006 after more than 30 years of service at General Motors, and was a longtime member of UAW Local # 2209. Robert is survived by his daughter, Suzie (James) Rattie; sons, Jeffrey (Amanda) and Christopher Tyler; grandchildren, Kyle and Alex Rattie, Ellie and Emily Tyler, and Vanessa Penell; brother, David Tyler; and sister-in-law, Barbara Burnham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Wendy A. Tyler, in 2019; and a granddaughter, Kayla Nicole Tyler. A funeral service to honor Robert's memory will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave Fort Wayne, Indiana 46807, with calling beginning at 1:00pm, two hours prior to the service.
