I grew up in the same neighborhood as Roberta. She always was very kind to me when we were children even when others bullied me. I saw her at Chase Bank Waynedale shortly she retired and was happy to get reacquainted. So sorry for her loss.

My heart is broken, and I send love and prayers to Harold, Lindsey, Logan, and rest of family and friends. She was loved by MANY, and saying she will be missed is an understatement. Roberta was strong, loving and just fun when she was around.
She is now in a much better place without all the pain, and I'm sure she is happy to be with her "Daddy".
Rest in Peace my sweet Roberta. As she always ended conversations.. Love ya! ❤️

The Bell cousins of the two Ft. Wayne families were able to gather frequently. However, wonderful memories were made when we could all travel to Marion, IN, to meet cousins of the (Bell) Byler family - and enjoy romping at their larger property.

The accompany photo is of such an event with all present - except one who was still a gleam in her daddy's eye.

In the picture can you identify Roberta?

(Hint: She was made to leave ice cream to pose.)

So very sorry for your loss. She always took care of me during our Elmhurst days, which was more than a full time job in itself. But she would always straighten my colar, get the shaving cream out of my ears, and try to get me looking half way presentable. Her heart was so huge. Bob will be missed. Prayers to Harold and the kids. She loved you all so. She was one tough cookie. I was blessed to have known her and grew up with her in our waynedale days. Much love and prayers for peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Harold & Family,

So sorry to hear of the loss of our sweet Roberta. Will always cherish memories of softball, nights @ the Hideaway, dancing & doing The Bump @ our favorite discotheques, & so many other fun times. Will greatly miss our lunch dates on my trips home. She was a friend to everyone she met, & so proud of all of you. My thoughts & best wishes are with you always.

Fran and I are saddened to learn of Roberta's death. As a young person I remember shared Bell-Bell-Bell family gatherings at lakes and different back yards. Although job-related geographic distance made visits infrequent -- each visit was a pleasant memory. I recall a shared meal in her home several years ago that included at least three pastries.
