Rodney "Rambo" Bowling, 67, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully on Monday, June 23, 2025. Born on January 3, 1958 in Batesville, Indiana. Rodney was known by many as "Rambo", a name that reflected both his strength and his unstoppable spirit. He was the go to guy for anything that needed fixing. Whether it was working on cars, doing bodywork, or building something with his hands. Rod did it with heart and skill. He was always remodeling something, his house every six months just because he could. Rod had a heart as big as his toolbox. His presence filled a room, his stories brought laughter, and his work left a mark. Not just on homes, but on the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Rod was a family man who took pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Rodney Allen Loyall; daughters, Latoria Hart, Regina (Mike) Bunsold, Tina Mathieu; and Shenata (Evert Jonathan Alvarado) Bowling; 17 grand children; and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Alza Bowling; sister, Angela Leigh (Terrell Davis) Bowling; and his brothers, David Wayne Bowling, Jeff Bowling, Christopher Scott (Amber) Bowling and Troy Shaun (Soledad Sanchez) Bowling. He was welcomed into eternal rest by his mother, Donna Lee (Tschaenn) Bowling.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In honor of Rodney's memory contributions may be made directly to the family.
