Rodney Matthew Wilt, 54, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at his home. He was born November 6, 1965 in Fort Wayne, Ind. He is survived by his wife, Krystyna Wilt of Fort Wayne and formerly of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; stepson, Krys (Suzanne) Saunders and their daughter, Sienna Saunders, all of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada; father, Carl Wilt of Pierceton, Ind., and Florida; mother, Alice (Davenriner) Wilt (deceased, and formerly of Huntington County, Ind.); sister, Brenda (Lance) Johnson of Chicago, Ill.; stepmother, Suzie Wilt of Pierceton, Ind., and Florida; sons, Jonathan and Jacob Wilt of Van Wert, Ohio; and three additional grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his infant sister. He was a graduate of Columbia City High School and learned carpet and ceramic work in his younger years. He was a truck driver for 35 years having been employed with Swan, Fed Ex, and Alpha Pools. An avid monthly blood donor, Rodney was a member of Abundant Life Church. His passion was building and woodworking in which he created an eight sided workshop on his property; he excelled at calculations and design.
