Ronald “Ron” E. Busch, 64, of Fort Wayne, passed away on May 24, 2018. He was born to the late Richard and Lucille (Hoeppner) Busch Sr. on February 8, 1954, in Fort Wayne. Ron loved to spend time with his family. He was a true family man who brought everyone together with his love and enthusiasm. His hobbies included writing, ham radio, watching college athletics, and working on household projects. He made sure to teach his children how to fix things so that one day they could take care of their own homes. He loved to make people laugh with his jokes and inspire people with his words and prayers. In the last few years of his life, Ron accomplished his longtime goal of writing professionally by contributing to Today's Catholic. He also finally restored his grandfather's tractor and was able to take his granddaughter for rides. He was an Academic Advisor at Ivy Tech.

Ron is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lois Busch; daughter, Virginia Busch; son, Andrew (Shea) Busch; granddaughter, Clara Sue Busch; siblings, Sandra (Randy) Simmons, Rich (Mary) Busch Jr., Sherran (Jay) DeArmond, and Sonya (Tim) Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Smith.

Ron's family & Ron,

So sorry to hear of your passing...I just saw you the other day, less than a week or two ago. Thank you for always being kind and very upright and professional to me. Every time I called you, you ALWAYS picked up your phone and answered so calmly. You were always a positive person and always helped me no matter what was going on in your office! Thank you for being an influence in my life!

Praying for your loved ones...

To all of the Busch Family,

Our hearts are broken at the news of Ron's passing. So many memories of times past flood in. The love we had for each other's families was so much a part of our youth. The times we spent together were some of the the best times of our lives.

I had the time to talk to Ron & Lois at my mom's funeral in December. That same smile on Ron's face was present ... we shared some of those childhood memories ... we smiled and laughed.

After that day's lunch I said some words to those who were there, thanking them for honoring our family. Ron wrote me a letter saying he was moved by those words. I was touched by that. Same Ron ... genuine ... thoughtful ... loving.

I am sorry I can't make it there to show in person our respects. Please know you are all in our prayers. I gotta believe that Ron has already assembled the 1st ping-pong trophy in heaven.

May God comfort you all ... knowing that he rests in our Lord's arms!

Jerry & Annie Housholder (Orlando, Fl.)
