Ronald Ronnie A. Hanes

Ronald A. “Ron” Hanes, 52, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Wednesday, December 14, 2011. He was born on June 9, 1959 in Ft. Wayne. He worked as a mechanic at Harvester and later as a truck driver for Statewide Trucking. He enjoyed spending his time hunting, golfing, and bowling. He is described as an avid Colts fan and Nascar enthusiast. Surviving family include his children, Andrea (Chris) Grimm, Ronald R. (Jessica) Hanes, Levi Hanes, Carlli Jo Hanes all of Bluffton; mother, Carolyn Springer of Zanesville; Grandchildren, Charles Hanes, Benjamin Grimm, Simon Hanes; siblings, Cynthia French, Daniel Hanes, Richard E.(Nancy) Hanes; and significant other, Annette Carey. He was preceded in passing by his father, Richard W. Hanes and sister and Cathy Hanes.

A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Ft. Wayne with visitation one hour prior with Chaplain Mike Smith officiating. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 on Monday, December 19, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation of IN. Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens at a later date.
