

Ronald Craig Miles (RC), passed away, April 8, 2023, at his home in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 70. He was born March 20, 1953, to Paul and Vera (Jackson) Miles in Fostoria, Ohio. Later the family moved to Paulding, Ohio, where Ron spent his childhood years. He was a 1971 graduate of Paulding High School. Ron returned to Fostoria and worked at Grizzly until he joined the Army in 1974. While in the military, he was a Spec 4 and worked as a radio repairman. Upon his honorable discharge, he moved to Lima, Ohio, and worked at General Dynamics (formally The Lima Tank Plant). In the interim, he fell in love and married Donna Rowell. They were blessed with three children, Reginald of Milani, HI; Matthew of Alexandria, VA; and Donnielle of Milani, HI; all who survive. Ron is also survived by his brother, Paul Joseph Miles of Lucerne, Switzerland; and two sisters, Linda Cobb (Jeffrey) of Fort Wayne, IN, and Lisa Brady (Ken) of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Leia and Luna, along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Although Ron loved his family first, he also loved his country, NASCAR, karaoke, and just being a good friend. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edward Miles and Madame Mayor Vera M. Miles; his sister Leah C. (Miles) Russel; and four brothers, Steven Miles, Daniel Miles, Joseph Miles, and Leon Dale Miles. There will be a Remembrance Day May 14, 2023, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Foster Park Pavilion 1, 3900 Old Mill Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46807. Since Ron loved baking, please bring your favorite dessert.
