Ronald A. Troyer, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on December 23, 2019 at his home. Born November 28, 1952 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Phineas and Emma D. (Herendeen) Troyer. A graduate of Woodlan Jr./Sr. High School, class of 71, Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years. He furthered his education at Purdue University, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality and Restaurant Management. Ron was a lifelong Chef & Manager in the Hospitality & Restaurant Management Industry, to include his military service. An avid Detroit Tigers Baseball fan, Ron also enjoyed Purdue Basketball and gardening, especially herbs. He is survived by his cousins, Wanda (Roger) (Yoder) Bade of Fort Wayne, Cecil (Jenny) Troyer of Greentown, Ind., Delores Troyer and Sheila Troyer of Kokomo, Ind., Greg (Kim) Troyer of Fishers, Ind., and Cynthia (Fred) (Troyer) Drantch of Shorewood, MN. He was also preceded in death by many aunts and uncles. Memorial service will be at 1:00pm on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Advantage Funeral Home, 2403 E. Wallen Road., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
