Ronnie Joe Green

Ronnie Joe Green, 56, of Gas City, Indiana, passed away on August 16, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1970.

Ronnie was a man who never met a stranger and would help anyone in need without hesitation. He was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. Whether someone needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply a friend, Ronnie was always there.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Leah Wright, whom he loved deeply and carried in his thoughts wherever he went. He was a proud and devoted father to Josh Green (Taylor), Ronnie Green (Lonni), Shyann Green, and Brice Green. Ronnie was also a loving grandfather to Joseph, Easton, Morgan, and Olivia, all of whom brought him tremendous joy and pride.

He is also survived by his father, Richard Correll; his sisters, Kimberly Boyd, Carla Bradley, Kaye Reves (Bobby), Bonita Goodnight (Griffen), Jenny Davis, and Mary Lou; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Correll; his father, Curtis Green; and his brother, Bobby Correll.

Ronnie loved the simple joys of life. He enjoyed hunting, catfishing, and spending time relaxing with family and friends. He had a passion for music, especially country music, and Alan Jackson was his favorite artist. Ronnie loved to sing and would sing anywhere, anytime, for anyone willing to listen. His voice and cheerful spirit brought smiles to many.

He was also a fan of western television shows and could watch his favorite movie, The Outsiders, over and over again without ever growing tired of it. Ronnie was known for his sense of humor and loved pulling pranks and joking with his sister-in-law, Jennifer Wright, whose smile always brightened his day. He also loved spending time with her kids Cameron, Lexie, Peyton and Blakley who he loved dearly.

One of Ronnie's most special relationships was with Blakley, Jennifer's five-year-old daughter. Blakley loved being by Ronnie's side, laughing, playing, and spending time together. Ronnie would stop whatever he was doing to make time for her, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Above all else, Ronnie loved his family. He was incredibly proud of each of his children and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. His love, laughter, strength, and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

At this time, no formal services are planned. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced by the family.
