

Rosemary Werling 85, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away August 20, 2024, after a long illness. Rose was born on November 20, 1938, to Orval Shock and Evalene Wright. She was raised along with her brother Argil in Kendallville and Cromwell, IN, graduating from Cromwell H.S. in 1957.
Rose was happily married 45 years to Jerry L. Werling, and raised her family in Fort Wayne. They were long time members of Epiphany Lutheran Church. She attended Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing and Ivy Tech, working many years for Dr. Richard Miller, and was a child advocate for CASA.
Rose loved her family, a beautiful scenic view, hunting morel mushrooms in her highly guarded secret spot, animals and any lemon desserts. She was an exceptional mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Jeff (Jennifer) Werling and June (Bret) Wise. Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren, Christopher (Heather) Werling, Alex Werling, Brendan (Abigail) Wise, Jack (Nicole) Wise, Natalie Wise, Nicholas (Sasha) Krebs, J. Alexys (Jacob) Frankewich and Kacie Thieme. She also leaves behind great grandchildren, Chloie, Harper, Maya, Beckett, Noah, Wyatt and Everett.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Argil Shock and husband Jerry Werling.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Towne House and Heartland Hospice for their excellent care.
