Roy Arthur Smith

Roy Arthur Smith, 74, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Roy was the son of the late Florn Smith and Arydth Herbst. Roy was a Vietnam Army veteran. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight for 30 years, prior to retiring in 2000. He was a member of the American Legion. Roy enjoyed being outdoors and loved woodworking. Surviving are his wife, Kathe Smith of Fort Wayne; son, Roy David (Marjorie) Smith of Gaylord, MN; grandchildren, Brianna, Katlyn, Reese, Bert, Atticus, Ashley, Joshua, and Shandra; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Ilene Molter of IN. Roy was preceded in death by his sons Rodney and Timothy Smith; brothers, Robert and Gene Smith. Service is 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling from 12 pm until the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Kidney Association.
