Ruth E. Fisher

Ruth E. Fisher, 100, passed away October 28, 2023 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born October 15, 1923 in Bluffton, IN, the daughter of Dwight and Lela (Gilbert) Lesh.

She was a homemaker, and stay at home Mom. She attended women’s Bible study at Colony Heights every Wednesday before moving to Ashton Creek and loved watching her Chicago Cubs with her husband. They traveled to the Smokey Mountains every year in April for their anniversary. She was nicknamed "Shorty" by her nephews.

She is survived by her son, Roger Fisher, daughter Diann Mantle, grandchildren, Lauri (Matt) Meier, Jamie (Jeremie) Mason, Jason (Whitney) Meade, great grandchildren, Kelsy Meier, Ryan Meier, Austin (Roxann) Bolen, Kaylee Bolen, Skyler (Dakota) Bolen, Lexi Meade, Parker Meade, great great grandchildren, McKenna Bolen and Brantleigh Bolen.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Max. D. Fisher, November 30, 2012 and son in law Mike Mantle.

Funeral service will be 1pm Friday November 3, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior.
