Obituary of Ruth Lillian Kelsey
Ruth L. Kelsey, 92, passed away on May 4, 2021 at Coventry Meadows Nursing Home surrounded by family. Ruth was born on March 27, 1929 to Frederick and Mary (Schmitz) Heine. Born and raised in Fort Wayne, with 1 brother, Russell Heine. She attended Concordia High School. She married Ned L. Kelsey on November 25, 1950. Throughout the years she worked at Seyfert's Potato Chip Factory, New York Life Insurance Company and Irmscher Suppliers - The Pella Window Store; but loved being a Homemaker most of all. Ruth truly enjoyed her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and grand-pups. She would giggle with excitement when her great-grandchildren would visit. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, needlepoint, crafts and getting her nails painted. Ruth leaves behind her loving husband of 71 years, Ned Kelsey; two sons, Dennis Kelsey and David Kelsey; three grandchildren, Brandy Molina, Brad (Rachel) Kelsey, and Isaac (Amanda) Kelsey; and two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Roman Kelsey. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Marjorie Kelsey; and grandson-in-law, John (Juan) Molina. A private family service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with public visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Saturday. Public Visitation will also be on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials in honor of Ruth may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church (Soest). Helping to honor Ruth as pallbearers are, Dennis Kelsey, David Kelsey, Brad Kelsey, Isaac Kelsey, Franco Sanchez and Pastor McKissack Richmond.
