Ruth Ross, 87,passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born in Fort Wayne on September 14, 1938, daughter of the late Luke and Lillian (Spice) Fairfield. Ruth was a lifetime member of Trinity Episcopal Church and the Women's Auxiliary at American Legion Post 499. She had a passion for bowling, playing cards, and walking the mall with her friends. Ruth enjoyed gardening, coloring, and baking. She deeply loved her family and her dogs. Ruth is survived by her children, Glenna Ross and Stan (Missy) Ross; granddaughter, Sydney Ross; and grand dogs, Sadie and Scooter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ross and sisters, Marilyn and Barbara. A funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 West Berry Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46808. Burial to follow the service at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Fort Wayne.
