Ruth A. (Edsall) Schaper, 73, of Columbia City, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015. She was born on August 31, 1941 to the late William and Elizabeth (Schone) Edsall. She worked at Roethele Lumber in the office. She loved to garden and play all sorts of card games. Surviving family include her children, Larry (Shari) Simpkins, Mary (Lance) Simpkins, William (Linda) Simpkins, Patrick (Maria) Simpkins, Ruth (Joel) Kimmel; husband, Theodore Schaper; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Burns, Therese Miller Charlie Edsall, Pat Fox, Betty Hoy, David Edsall, and Paul Edsall. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her siblings, William Edsall, Charlene Edsall, Eva Edsall, and Rose Edsall. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
