Ruth A. Stiver

Ruth A. Stiver, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Kingston Care Center. She was born September 9, 1923 in Fort Wayne and was a homemaker. She was formerly a long time member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and was currently a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. She was a loving and kind woman who loved her family. She is survived by son, John H. (Shawn) Stiver, of Fort Wayne; daughter, Becky (Jim) Craig, of High Ridge, MO; son, Dennis L. (Cindy) Stiver, of Auburn and son, Rick A. (Sue) Stiver, of Fort Wayne; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; brother, Kent (Shirley) Kanning, of Fort Wayne; sisters, Faye Parent and Lois Frede, both of Fort Wayne and sister-in-law, Barbara Kanning, of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert JH Stiver, in 1986, son, Robert C. Stiver, in 2007; brother, Mark Kanning and sister, Jean Melvin. Funeral Service is 1:30 Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
