Sally Lou Goings

She was married to the love of her life, Jack Edward Goings, in 1968 and they spent many cherished years together before his passing in 2022. Sally was a devout Christian who dedicated her whole life to her church. Her and Jack first attended Calvary United Pentecostal Church before transitioning to First Pentecostal Church. Sally was an amazing cook and baker, who was well known for the elaborate and beautiful cakes she made for weddings and other occasions. Her “good cake” was a testament to the delectable taste of her baking as many people would line up for a slice. She enjoyed passing on her skills when she taught at Country Kitchen.

Sally is survived by her children, Nancy Montrosso, Ed (Debra) Goings, Jim (Peggy) Goings, and Carol Goings; daughter-in-law, Marsha Conner; grandchildren, Jamie (Shane) Hall, Jodie (Chris) Godfrey, Daniel (Sherara) Conner, David Goings, Kelly Goings, and Sarah Conner; great-grandchildren, Oliver Conner, Isla Conner, Brandon (Sharlene) Hall, Bevin Hall, Bryce Hall, Aiden Godfrey, David Goings Jr., Anthony Goings, Victor Goings, and Autumn Goings; great-great-grandchildren, Britton Hall, Bentley Hall, and Sofia Hall; and sister-in-law Nancy Young. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wardley and Nellie; husband, Jack; son, Tim Conner; son-in-law, Steve Montrosso; and siblings, Wilma Alidai, Richard Young, Larry Young, Bobby Young, and Joanne Hammond.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 starting at 2PM at The Pentecostals of Fort Wayne 935 Farwood Ave, Fort Wayne, IN, 46816.
