Sally L. Lessing, 87, of Fort Wayne, Indiana entered into the arms of Jesus in Liberty, Indiana on Thursday, August 19, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1934 in Plymouth, Indiana. Sally was the daughter of the late Walter D. and Lois E. (Steiner) Hampton. She graduated from Plymouth High School class of 1952. Sally was a member of the Southwest Assembly of God. She delighted in singing, leading church worship, and writing music. She enjoyed participating in the Fort Wayne Civic Theater. Sally had a passion for spreading the gospel in local ministries and in travelling with her husband in missions around the world. Sally is survived by her sons, Rick (Darlene) Lessing, Barry (Deb) Lessing, and Scott (Marilyn) Lessing; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Hampton. Also, preceding her in passing was her husband, Richard C. Lessing; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Hampton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809 with visitation beginning at Noon.
