Samuel J. Dykes, 42 of Fort Wayne passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. Born January 21, 1980 in Fort Wayne. Sam worked for Water Furnace for several years. He liked sports, from golfing to the Detroit Lions. He had a passion for nice and fast cars, fancy shoes, and Star Wars. Sam is survived by his girlfriend, Shonna Kiser; son, Ryu Leverton; father, James Dykes; brother, James (Dawn) Dykes III; sisters, Kerry (Steve) Christie, Temple (Jason) Cronkhite, and Elizabeth (Nathan) Walker; nieces and nephews, Gabrielle and Kirk Christie, Sebastian, Harrison, Hamilton, and Deirdre Cronkhite, and Ezra Ragatz. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Lynda Dykes. A Celebration of life will be held at 3pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o James Dykes.
