Sandy loved many things: reading a good book, buying her first car (gold Pontiac Le Mans), shopping at Hobby Lobby, crafting, canning vegetables, crocheting, and quilting. Her first love: family.
Family gatherings, conversations about old times, the crazy things done when younger, board games, vacation trips, swapping recipes, watching scary movies, taking LOTS of pictures in Cades Cove, scenic views/trips, her dogs, her husband, her children, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren: all this embodied family. Sandy loved her family with her whole heart.
As each of you pause in reflection with your memories of Sandy, remember her hearty laughter, big hugs, kindness, and patience.

Family will receive guests at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley located at 1320 E. DuPont Rd., Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825 on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 11am-1:00pm, followed by a celebration of life. We will accompany Sandra to her final resting place at Highland Cemetery, 2403 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Victory Junction in honor of Sandy’s legacy. Created in memory of Adam Petty. Victory Junction allows children with serious medical illnesses and conditions to experience the “joy of being a kid”.
