

Sarah Renee Crawley, “Ms. Sarah”, age 46, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025. She was born February 18, 1978, in Winchester, IN, to parents Kelly Shelton (Macy) and Mitch Crawley. Sarah attended R. Nelson Snider High School, and Ivy Tech Community College in pursuit of becoming a CNA. Later in life, she worked diligently to receive her license to become a marriage officiant, and was on her way to becoming a pastor. An active worshipper at Fellowship Missionary Church, Sarah was a woman of immense strength, boundless love, and unwavering faith.
A lover of nature, Sarah could often be found swimming during a sunny afternoon, or nurturing her ever-blooming plants. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by friends and family. Whether it was attending festivals or barbeques, Sarah embraced every chance to celebrate life. She leaves behind many cherished memories filled with laughter, great food, and a deep connection to her community.
Ms. Sarah is survived by her two sons, Justice Jones and Daushaun Lee; mother, Kelly Shelton and Kelly’s partner, Bob; siblings, James (Amanda) Crawley, Megan Shelton, and James Shelton; niece, Avery Crawley; nephews, Mark Walton and Willy Walton; aunts, Mary (Gene) Whaley and Cindy Stephenson; uncle, David Macy and his partner Robin; and her best and closest friend, Dara Johnson and the Johnson Family.
Sarah is preceded in death by her son, Marquez Javon Green; father, Mitch Crawley; grandmothers, Lucy Macy and Mabel Crawley; and step-father, Mark Shelton.
Her faith was her guide, grounding her in times of difficulty and fueling her passion for life. Through challenges, she remained strong, never once giving up, and always showing up with a heart full of love for her family and friends. Above all, she loved her sons more than anything in the world, and they were her greatest pride and joy. Her love for them will remain a lasting legacy, as will the lessons she imparted through her strength, compassion, and dedication.
