Sarah Elizabeth Fedro

Sarah Elizabeth Fedro (nee Egan), 95, passed away on October 25, 2024 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana with family by her side. She was born on March 6, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois and married Joseph Fedro in 1949, who preceded her in death on July 12, 2012 after 63 years of marriage.

Sarah lived in Chicago and Coloma, Michigan for many years before moving to Fort Wayne, to spend the last 8 years.

Surviving are her sons, David Fedro and Steven (Karen) Fedro; her daughter, Joanne Turney; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Fedro; her grandchildren, Christopher (Morgan) Fedro, Joseph (Julie Penrod) Fedro, Steven (Lauren) Fedro, Adam (Alyssa Williams) Turney and Alyssa (Dalton) Waidelich; and her great-grandchildren, Erasmus, Aurora, Stella and Dane.

Sarah was also preceded in death by her son, Randy Fedro; daughter-in-law, Linda Fedro; son-in-law, Donald Turney and granddaughter Erin Fedro.

Sarah, known as Betty to her family and friends worked as a cook in the family owned tavern and in various schools and was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family members and friends from Arbor Glen.

A Private family service will be scheduled for a later time in Chicago.
