Scott was born to Richard and Judith (Yerington) Bienz in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 29, 1969. Scott was a jack of all trades, though he specialized in woodworking. He would rarely be found just sitting and relaxing; he was always observing his surroundings, on the lookout for his next project. He never failed to help a loved one (especially all of his girls) with a house project, car troubles, or just lend a helping hand. Music was a defining passion of Scott’s life. He loved attending concerts whenever possible and kept a near constant soundtrack playing, rotating seamlessly between The Beatles, classic 80s rock, and the affectionate category of "Dad rock" as designated by his children, alongside countless other genres. He could rattle off an obscure music fact for just about any musician you can think of. If you were lucky enough to be a recipient of his vast music trivia and answered correctly, you likely left with an IOU for a million dollars.
Scott is survived by his fiancé, Annamarie Barone; his children, Ashley (Kyle) Schiffli of Fort Wayne, IN, Jennifer (Adam Klein) Bienz of Albion, IN; bonus-children, Amanda and John Cochrane; grandchildren, Dylan, Lucas, Ryder and Avett; mother, Judith Bienz; and siblings Rick Bienz, Ronald Bienz, Renee Bienz and Floyd Bienz. He is preceded in passing by his father, Richard (Dick) Bienz.
