Sharon Kay Grider, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Coventry Meadows Nursing Home. She was born October 5, 1943 in Huntington, Indiana. Sharon was a graduate of Elmhurst High School and worked in accounting, retiring from Super Value. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling, volunteering at the church, and was an avid Komets Hockey Fan. Surviving are her sister, Linda (Jerry - deceased) Bailey, niece, Krista (Jarod) Lee; nephew, Chad Bailey; and great nieces and nephews, Ava, Brendon, Addison, Carson, Maddox, and Keegan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Neil Eugene Grider in 2012. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809 with visitation two hours prior. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Contributions in Sharon's memory may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Cancer Services of NE Indiana, or Donor’s Choice.
