Sharon A. Hazelett

Sharon A. Hazelett, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Born in Anderson, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Emerson John Manis and Dorothy (Klinefelter) Boone. Sharon graduated from the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis, Indiana. Here, she met her beloved husband Thomas O. Hazelett, and they married June 1, 1963. Sharon was a data entry operator for Indiana Michigan Power Company until 1998. Sharon enjoyed playing cards, shopping, camping, fishing, and bowling. Above all, she adored her family and was a beautiful, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Sharon is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas O. Hazelett; children Rick (Cheri) Hazelett of Decatur, Indiana, Alan Hazelett of Woodburn, Indiana, Kim Hazelett of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Michelle (Travis) Clark of Westfield, Indiana; grandchildren Chelsey, Caleb, Toby, Landon, and Brady; great grandchildren Brantley, Scarlette, and Emersyn. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter Amber Hazelett. A private service for immediate family will be held Wednesday, April 14th at 10:00 a.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home with entombment at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
