Sharon L Martin, 81, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Walter and Beulah Coolman. Sharon graduated from North Side High School in 1955. Her passion and calling in life was caring and nurturing children. Sharon worked at Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege for 20 years. She also taught preschool and Sunday school. She was a faithful member of The Journey Free Methodist Church. She was an amazing house keeper and made a beautiful home. Sharon was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and will be remembered for her cobbler pie. She enjoyed tending to her yard and flowers, spending time at the lake with her family and taking boat rides. Surviving are her loving husband, Robert F Martin of Fort Wayne, IN; children R. Greg (Linda E) Martin of Fort Wayne, IN; Lori (David) Wappes of Columbia City, IN; Linda K (Tom Struckholz) Martin of Fort Wayne, IN; Lisa (David) Batchelor of Alto, MI; brother, Larry (Judy) Coolman of Fort Wayne, IN; sister, Debbie (Louis) Townes of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Aimee (Haruka), Ashlee (Adam), Allison, Dakota, Hannah, Alicia (Nathan Foote), Justin Bethany and great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Whitnee and Wendee . Sharon was preceded in death by father, Walter L Coolman, mother, Beulah "Boots" Coolman, sister, Vicki Sipe. Service is 1:30 pm, Saturday June 2, 2018 at The Journey Methodist Church 3536 W. Wallen Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, June 1, 2018, from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9pm at - D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
