Shawn Hugette Hanna

Shawn was a graduate of Elmhurst High School Class of 1983 and continued her education by receiving her associate degree at Michiana College as a Medical Assistant.

Shawn was a sweet loving person full of life. She loved her family relentlessly. She enjoyed Bingo, going to the casino, dancing, poking fun with those she loved and her pet dogs. She was loyal to her family and took care of her siblings. She would give the shirt off of her back if needed. Shawn will be missed dearly by those who loved her.

She leaves to cherish her many fond memories and legacy to her sons, Kevin L. Hannah and Ricky D. Dowdell; brothers, Marcus Preston, Dr. Howard Blount, Rev. Vinson Parnell, Edward Page, Howard Page Jr., Rev. Dr. Mack (Denise) Page Sr., Darrell (Tonyia) Page, Willie Burnett, Corey Hannah Sr., Jason Hannah Sr.; sisters, Denise Brooks, Antoinette Brooks-Barnette, Porsche Williams-Brooks, Charice Brooks-Carver, Jayla Brooks, Mercedez Tyra-Brooks Sanchez, Alfreda (Abraham) Washington, Shirley (William) Rox and Danyeal Dunbar; close cousin, Cedric Hannah; several aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard LeRoy Brooks; her parents, Howard Page Sr. and Inona Hannah-Page; and canine friend, “Sophia”.
