Shawn Irene Miller

Shawn Irene Miller, 61, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, at 5:03 p.m., after a courageous battle with cancer, one which she faced with bravery, strength, and determination until the very end. She was born October 12, 1964.

Shawn was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Scott; her children, Thomas (Miranda), Sarah, and Abigail; her grandchildren Aubree, Montgomery, and Cohen; her parents, John and Lyngail; and her brothers and sisters, Mary (Charles), Sarah, John (Sarah), and David (Cherie).

Shawn graduated from Prairie Heights High School in 1983 and represented her area as Miss Lagrange County. She was a proud tenured member of LaGrange County 4H. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, singing karaoke, dancing, gardening, and caring for her cats. Her favorite color was purple. For 15 years, Shawn worked at Parkview Hospital as a Telemetry Monitor Technologist, where she met some of her best friends. She was known for her nonjudgmental love and for treating everyone she met with warmth and acceptance. To Shawn, there was no such thing as a stranger. Shawn believed deeply that there was always hope, and she carried that belief with her through every challenge she faced. Her strength, resilience, and love for her family will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

May her soul rest with God and with all of those who came before her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

A memorial calling will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at D. O. McComb and Sons - Lakeside Park from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
