Sheryl A. Lauderdale

Sheryl A. Lauderdale, age 64 passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born May 4, 1957 in Huntington, Indiana, daughter of the late Willard Darrell and Shirley Ann (Randall) Lindsey. Sheryl worked as a stenographer for the Fort Wayne Detective Bureau, retiring in 2019 and enjoyed every minute of it. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her two grandsons whom she adored. Sheryl loved the Lord and shared His word every chance she got. She appreciated the simple and pure things in this life but always reminded her loved ones that, “this world is not my home, I’m just a passin’ through“. She will be greatly missed by her family and loved ones. May we all be a little more like Sheryl, a shining light in such a dim world. Surviving are her daughter, Lindsey Smith of Antwerp, OH; and grandchildren, Riley and Brody Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Sours. A gathering together to remember Sheryl will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at East Allen County Church of Christ, 3800 Minnich Road, New Haven, IN 46774 with the service beginning at 4:00 PM.
