

Shirbrina A. Smith, age 57, of Fort Wayne, Indiana went to her eternal home on Monday, August 9, 2021. Shirbrina was born May 21 to Samuel N. Wilson and the late Callie A. Wilson. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High school in 1982 and studied nursing at IPFW and Ivy Tech College. Shirbrina worked as a Phlebotomist/Lab Tech at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she had over 30 years of experience. She enjoyed coaching her cheerleading squad, dancing and listening to music which included R/B and Gospel, going on girls trips, watching movies, church, and spending time with friends and family. Shirbrina was a member of Joshua Temple under Prophet Cedric Walker Sr. She accomplished many things in her life and those include, Honor's Society, Who's Who Among American Students, High School cheerleader all four years, Debutante FW Cotillion, Lab Technician Certification, and received public recognition in FW Newspaper as one of the best in her field.
Shirbrina is survived by her children, Sherrick W-L Smith and Asia M. Smith of Fort Wayne; godson, Rashad M. Mayes; grandchildren, Azazel (Zae) Mendoza and Timiyia Smith; brothers, Nathan (Rosalind) D. Wilson of Fort Wayne, Eric Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Vasco Williams III of Olathe, Kansas; sister and friend, Sharon Mayes; aunts, Elizabeth Wisdom of Fort Wayne, Susie Wilson of Bronx, New York, Kim Wilson and Lisa Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee; uncle, Aster Wilson Jr.; close friends, Rhonda James, Sue Geisleman, Kathy Kruckeberg, Cynthia Smith, Terri Lamb, Lori Audit, and a host of other special friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Jeffrey A. Wilson; maternal grandparents, Albert and Annie Perry, fraternal grandparents, Aster and Susie Wilson; her aunts Mary Worth and Maggie Perry-Blackmon; uncles, John Perry and Ray Wilson.
Funeral Services for Shirbrina will be held Friday, September 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Mungovan, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802 with visitation one hour prior. Committal at Lindenwood Cemetery. Pastor Tim Graham, officiating.
