

SHIRLEY MAY BOYLE, 86, of Fort Wayne, died peacefully on Monday, April 9, 2012, at her home surrounded by family. Born Oct. 3, 1925, in Dunkirk, Ind., she was raised by father, Chester and Opal Uhrick. She enjoyed a long work history from the U.S. Rubber Company to licensed cosmetologist, to General Electric, and then Target. Her interests included family, crocheting, card playing and membership in G.E. Elex Club. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley (Myers-Phillips) and Edward Christie, Gloria (Moeller) and John McNabb and Tammie (Boyle) and David Johann; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill and Laura (Melvin) Moeller and James Moeller Jr.; son-in-law, Walter Snyder; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and special friend, Orville Lanham III. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur "Slim" Myers, James "Jake" Moeller and Robert Boyle Jr.; daughter, Patricia (Myers) Snyder; grandson, Troy Snyder; and brother, Robert Uhrick. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells St., with calling one hour prior. Calling is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012, at the funeral home. Donations may be sent to Parkview Home Health & Hospice, 1900 Carew St. #6.
