Shirley S. Dockery, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2011. She was born December 22, 1940 in Marion to the late Roy and Arthushia (Miller) Cousins. Mrs. Dockery was a Homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother who gave her love to all that knew her. She loved cooking, crocheting, listening to music, housekeeping, and her grandchildren. She was always there and will be missed by all who truly knew her. After a long illness, God called her home. Surviving are her husband, George Dockery, Sr. of Fort Wayne; children, Brenda (Marvin) Brewer, Vaughn (Michelle) Dockery, Sarah Dockery, and George Dockery, Jr. , all of Fort Wayne; sister, Betty Cass of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial service will be on Friday, December 2, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
